What is Great Water Upholstery?
Way back when, in 2020, Great Water Upholstery’s (GWU) future founder Brandon Schaap watched his cousin get his boat upholstered. The cost and the extremely high quotes was the start to some big questions:
Why is marine upholstery so expensive?
Why is the upholstery business a dying art?
Why is the lead time so long?
What if instead of opening an upholstery shop, I help other shops get started and grow?
The answer to each question was Great Water Upholstery.
Years after that upholstery experience, growing into a well oiled machine, serving Holland, Michigan, we are still asking those questions. We’re answering them, too.
We created a marine vinyl skin service built to help the upholstery shop save money, and massive time savings with modern technology. The accounts are free, and we don’t charge fees. Our process has a low cost of entry, easy to learn (in other words, talking to us won’t frustrate you trying to learn something new).
Sometimes, all it takes to change things is to start asking questions.
We hope that no matter what brought you here, whether you’re a small mom and pop shop in need of a competitive advantage (true story) or a budget-wise complete marine fabrication super house who wants to cut waste (also a true story), you know that we see you. We see the marine upholstery industry and agree that it needs to change. And we’re working to change it for all of us.
